Schedules are published for each grade, K through 12th, laid out Monday to Friday by subject.
Expect homework most nights
Students have homework nearly every night, and are required to complete all assignments. Homework is considered complete when it is finished and handed to the teacher at the time it is due.
Where assignments are not completed, teachers address it directly with the student and, where it continues, with the parents.
Weekly folders
All students receive weekly folders showing their progress. Anything sent home that requires a parent signature must be returned the next day — including progress reports and report cards.
Weekly homework schedules
Each grade in 6th through 12th receives a schedule laid out Monday through Friday by subject. Elementary grades receive a sheet as well, which depending on the grade also carries a memory verse, a spelling list, a place for parent initials and a note from the teacher.
Make-up work after an absence
Junior and senior high students ask their own teachers for the work to be made up. If a student is out more than one day, parents should arrange to pick up the work rather than waiting for the return.
Honesty
Work submitted by a student is expected to be their own. Plagiarism — failing to give proper credit for the work of another, even with a few words changed — results in a reduced grade and strong corrective action.
Artificial intelligence tools require a teacher's permission and must align with the school's values. With teacher approval, students may use them in a limited way for research, brainstorming, practice, or creative work in art and coding, within biblical and class guidelines. Students may not use AI tools to plagiarize, to cheat, or to complete homework assignments.
Questions about an assignment
Contact the teacher directly rather than the office — they will know what was assigned and why. Conferences are scheduled through the office in advance.
